Western Polk County in western North Carolina…

North central Greenville County in Upstate South Carolina…

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 543 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near

Hendersonville, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind

damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include…

Hendersonville, Columbus, Mills River, Flat Rock, Etowah, Mountain

Home, Laurel Park, Tryon, Saluda and Pleasant Ridge State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A few trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned area.

Hail can cause major property damage, especially to vehicles. Seek
